Description

Unresolved and untreated childhood trauma from a shame-based family is a primary cause of addictions and continued relapses. Self-medicating with substances (food, alcohol, drugs), or behaviors (sex addiction, love addiction, relationship addiction, internet porn addiction, codependency) only hides the pain. We then enter a downward spiral of toxic shame, trauma re-enactment, and addictions to help us cope with our pain. But, this is hope. We can learn the Emotional Wisdom to guide us through our Emotional Minefield in our relationships to free ourselves from this deadly cycle.
