Last month at THE PEOPLE was brilliant. The vibe was electric, the food was slammin, the crowd was as beautiful as ever, and Ian Friday, one of the all time great dance floor deans, was on the decks. Fiyawata rocked an explosive live performance in the main room. Chef Florida's debut was so tasty that he almost couldn't get out of the club because of hungry folks hittin em up for a plate. Karen, the henna artist bejewled party goers with some blissful designs. Ibrahim and his west coast fam were in the house reppin' the bi-coastal flavor. Ian took this whole melange of art and culture to places it had not gone before including on a trip through some dance classics. I think George Benson said it all: "Gimme the night!"
