The Oakland Metro Operahouse is a black box theater located at 201 Broadway - the corner of 2nd St. and Broadway in downtown Oakland CA, just one block from Jack London Square. For a map to the venue or driving directions please click here. The venue opened on December 1, 2001 with the Oakland Opera Theater's production of Gertrude Stein's Four Saints in Three Acts. The operahouse is a 3000 square ft. converted warehouse with 22 ft. ceilings and 16 ft. windows on three full sides, making it a dramatic location for intimately-sized events. It is equipped with a full theatrical lighting system, state of the art sound reinforcement and a full bar.
