Description
San Leandro History Museum and Art Gallery presents a sculpture solo exhibition "The Heart Sutra" featuring Bay Area sculptor Feng Jin's recent new series "Hearts On Fire". This series of abstract figurative sculptures innovating concept of ancient goddess figures using modern material and sculpting technique. Inspired by women, with various definitions from ancient sayings, poetry and religious stories, in addition to believe in that a man cultivates pure vision by seeing the woman as a deity, "The Heart Sutra" presents not only twist metal torsos but salute the nature beauty of human bodies.

"The Heart Sutra" begins from Sept. 4 to Oct. 26. Artist reception will be held on Saturday, September 6 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. San Leandro Museum & Art Gallery located at 320 West Estudillo Ave. San Leandro, CA 94577.
