Description

Never believe fast-talking yes-men! Ragazzi presents the world premiere performances of “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” composed by Ted Toews with direction and choreography by the noted Bay Area director, Michael Mohammed. This innovative, special choral opera recounts the classic tale of the emperor’s vanity, the tailors’ greed and the courtiers’ folly. Even the villagers can’t bring themselves to acknowledge the evidence before their eyes. And yes, a young child shall lead them to the truth – a young Ragazzi boy, of course! More music, in a variety of styles, will round out the concert program.
