Moving Arts Dance, internationally heralded for their articulate eloquence and athletic virtuosity, is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Resident Choreographers Viktor Kabaniaev, Michael Lowe and Anandha Ray are each award winning choreographers with extensive careers in dance. In 2004 Mr. Lowe was awarded the Bay Area's most prestigious dance award, "The Isadora Duncan Dance Award for Excellence in Choreography." Artistic Director Anandha Ray, whose choreography won highest honors in the 1986 National Dance Festival (Washington D.C.) was named by Diablo Magazine as one of the 21 visionaries for the 21st Century, and in 2004 was inducted into the Contra Costa County Wonem's Hall of Fame for her contributions in dance. Mr. Kabaniaev was awarded the highest honor, a designation of "Special Prize," at the 29th annual DAnce Festival in Tokyo, Japan in 1996. The company tours extensively, in 2004 touring to thirteen cities in six countries.
