“Linear Elements” paintings by Moira Burke

About Linear Elements:
The work in this exhibit, linear elements, is the result of an exploration of and long held fascination with lines and their interactions.

“Some can’t see the forest for the trees; I can’t see the trees for the lines. Their intersections, their interactions, their relationships - for me provide an obvious connection and compatibility among nature and science and mathematics. Line is endless.”- Moira Burke

The exhibit can be categorized into: a) abstracts of lines and b) matrix-like grids, both from a variety of influences. All pieces are oil on canvas and hand-framed by the artist, a carpenter’s daughter.
