Come to a writing workshop that develops the writing, stories, imagination, and unique voice of each writer. Everyone is welcome. The workshops give an enthusiastic start to new writers and help those who've been writing for decades go to new places.
 
The workshops use Pat Schneider's Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA) writing group method and follow some simple guidelines to create a safe space where everyone feels confident and free to create, experiment, take risks, make things up, or tell the truth.
 
One-day Intensive Workshops. Nine-week sessions. Young Adult Workshops. Diversity and Community Workshops. Introductory Workshops for Teachers and Youth Workers. Community College Professional/Flex Days. Based in Oakland. Regular sessions in downtown San Francisco.
