Center For Contemporary Music Composers With Special Guest Stephen Vitiello
Photocells, field recordings, forgotten loops, coincidences, burned out light bulbs, and polyrhythms in quadraphonic space—brave new worlds of music and sound.
Stephen Vitiello, whose work has been presented at Tate Modern in London and the Whitney Museum in New York, transforms incidental atmospheric noises into mesmerizing soundscapes that alter our perception of the environment. He shares this evening with new works from CCM composers John Bischoff, Chris Brown, James Fei, Maggi Payne, and Les Stuck.
$15 general, $10 seniors and non-Mills students
