Description

Bay Rising, the Bay Area's second annual battle of the bands hosted exclusively by Yonas Media, is accepting submissions from local independent artists of all genres from May 1, 2008 through July 15, 2008. Musicians can submit their applications through Sonicbids or by mail to: Yonas Media 1625 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94612
After two semifinal rounds, five bands from the Bay Area's top choice talent will be selected to perform at The Great American Music Hall in front of hundreds of fans and a panel of judges to compete for prizes valued at over $10,000. Application and full contest details are at www.yonasmedia.com.
In addition to the concerts and competition, Yonas Media is inviting music-related businesses and organizations in the Bay Area for a pre-concert networking/community-building event on
August 27th at ArtHouse. All artists are invited. This is a free event with prize giveaways and a panel of experts available for advice and information. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
