Description

Hard Laughter, a play by Ann Brebner and Laurel Graver, adapted from Hard Laughter the novel by Anne Lamott. Directed by Jayne Wenger. In the wake of tragic news, Hard Laughter explores one bohemian Northern California family’s resilience, vulnerability and reliance on comedy.

AlterTheater performs minimalist theater that focuses on the storytelling and the intimate connection between audience and live performer. Performances take place in storefronts along 4th Street in downtown San Rafael. Hard Laughter stars Lindsay Benner, Jeffrey Bihr, Rio Codda, Zac Jaffe, Hannah Rose Kornfeld, Laura Lowry, and Frances Lee McCain.
