To coincide with the launching of Bill McKibben's 350.org, we here in the Bay Area want to raise awareness about what everyone can do to fight the impending challenge of global warming. With climatologists predicting severe consequences if atmospheric carbon levels do not return to less than 350 parts per million, the need to live with a smaller carbon footprint is more important now than ever. A great way to reduce our impact is by using our cars less, or not at all. We also need to pressure the governments in San Francisco, Redwood City and Washington to put measures in place and enact laws that will make living with less fossil fuels more feasible for the common citizen.
