Description On April 8, twenty of San Francisco's select bar establishments will put forth their best in Fernet Brancas, First Annual, BARBACK OLYMPICS. Barback Olympic Contestants will compete for the “Golden Bottle Opener” through a series of rigorous bar related activities that promise to delight the crowd of cheering bartenders, managers, owners, and industry friends. For the special event there will be amazing prizes, an open bar, gourmet appetizers by world renown chef, Erick Hopfinger, of Circa Restaurant, a custom Fernet T-shirt creation station, temporary tattoos, and more special surprises. Plus local luminary DJs, Sleazmore (blasthaus, LDL), and Shane King (blasthaus) will be sure to keep the energy high all night long as spectators enjoy the competition and cheer for their favorite “bar-athletes.” As a special added bonus, the ever popular, local promotions and production company, blasthaus will provide up to the minute, live visuals and feeds throughout the event on giant plasma screens and projection walls.
